Dive site description:

Funchi is one of the unmarked dive sites on Bonaire. It’s located on the East Coast and in general only dived from the boat. Usually with Bonaire East Coast Divers who offers boat diving on this dive site.

If you dive Funchi in the morning (which usually happens) chances are pretty high for passing Eagle Rays that are leaving the bay for the day. Make sure to keep looking up and in the blue! If you’re very lucky a nurse shark might be spotted also!

Given the possibility of a current it’s very much adviced to dive this dive guided by a boat. Meaning you can surface somewhere entirely different than where you descended and the boat will just pick you up. This really makes this dive all of a sudden super easy. Usually there’s a minimum of 50 dives required for East Coast diving.
